Ignacio Novo Sampol

Born in 1938, Cuba. He became part of the pro-Batista organization La Rosa Blanca and in 1960 joined terrorist groups headed by Felipe Rivero and Orlando Bosch. He participated in several terrorist acts against Cuban figures and facilities abroad. In the 1970s, he was an active participant in the Condor Operation, a program supervised by the CIA and directed by Chile’s secret police force (DINA) that aimed to overthrow Salvador Allende’s Unidad Popular government and bring the Pinochet dictatorship to power. Took part in the assassination of the former Chilean foreign minister Orlando Letelier.
