Intimidation of Magistrate Yasmin Barrios Aguilar

A day before of the start of the verbal hearing of the case of the assassination of Monsignor Gerardi, March 21, 2001, unknown attackers launched a fragmentation grenade in the home of Yasmin Barrios Aguilar, a member of the Third Trial Court in charge of the verbal hearing. The explosion caused material damage. The magistrate stated that on March 16, 2001, two individuals attempted to enter her home illegally.
