Jorge Mas Canosa

Born in Cuba in 1939. He left the country in 1960 with a false passport provided by the U.S. embassy in Havana. During preparations for the Bay of Pigs invasion he trained as a member of 40 Operation . He was a member of the CIA and several U.S.-based organizations. He was tied to the Latin America drug trade. He founded the Cuban American National Foundation (CANF) in 1981. From his position as CANF president he concentrated his efforts in intensifying aggressions against Cuba in the U.S. Congress and Executive and in the planning and implementation of terrorist activities. He passed away in 1997. His son, Jorge Mas Santos, is the current chairman of the CANF.
