Jose Leon Jimenez,Cheito

Born in Cuba. Land owner. In April 1961, knowing that the Bay of Pigs invasion had taken place, joined the gang of the criminal Julio E. Carretero. For more than three years the gang of "Cheito" Leon committed many crimes, including the murder of the farmers Fidel Claro Alonso and his wife Maria Luis Perera, on July 21, 1961 and the administrator of the Maisinicu property, Alberto Delgado Delgado on April 28, 1964, among others. On May 26, 1964 he was killed in an armed clash on the Guanabana property, Escambray.
