Movimiento Democracia

A terrorist organization that replaced the Comision Nacional Cubana (Cuban National Commission) but retained its main leader Ramon Saul Sanchez Rizo.

This organization is also known in Miami as the “Movimiento Cepillo” (the Scrub Brush Movement), because all of its actions are aimed at raising money. In their own words, this supposedly independent organization without a political platform acts to provoke incidents and to try to subvert the order within Cuba through flotillas that sail close to Cuban coasts. The organization beams radio broadcasts toward Cuba through a station that they have named Radio Democracia.
