Rolando Masferrer Rojas

Born in Cuba. A criminal who headed a paramilitary squadron. He was responsible for tortures and numerous murders to revolutionaries and peasants during the Fulgencio Batista dictatorship. He ran away from Cuba to the U.S. on January 1, 1959. The revolutionary government tried to extradite him but the U.S. authorities never responded. In the U.S. he has organized expeditions and plans to assassinate president Fidel Castro. He has been involved in terrorist acts and has been smuggling weapons, drugs and people. He died in the U.S. in 1976 when an explosion blew up his car, maybe as a consequence of his problems with different gangs.
